PC Case Audio PLEASE ANSWER!!!?

I just built my own PC. My case has front audio ports, but they don't seem to work. I checked it was plugged into the motherboard good/in the right spot, and it was. I don't know what else to do but that? Do I need a driver for them? How do I get them to work? Jest to make it clear, it is the CASE front audio ports, not the motherboards.PC Case Audio PLEASE ANSWER!!!?
It will depend on your motherboard. The front ports will only work if you are using your motherboard's built in audio, so they won't work if you've installed a sound card and are using that instead. You don't need drivers for the ports specifically but you do need drivers for motherboard sound. One way to see if you have the correct drivers is to see if speakers plugged in to your motherboard on the back produces sound.PC Case Audio PLEASE ANSWER!!!?
Check the pins are all in in the right place on the mobo... somethimes it doesnt work the 1st time... otherwise fiddle with the settings in the software, or maybe check on the manufacturers website for new drivers. On mine i had to chose to use the front audio ports in a settings tab from the software provided.
no seperate driver required for the front audio jacks.

if the motherboard jack works fine, then there should be issue with the jack, or some wring, Please check again the connection to the motherboard, whether some interchange happened...
